CAN announces preliminary squad for Nepal’s second CWC League 2 series  The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the preliminary squad for Nepal’s second  CWC League 2 series. A roster of 22 players has been called for the closed camp.  A notable omission from the squad is left-arm pacer Pratish GC. Additionally, Pawan Sarraf, who was part of the squad for the first series in February, is also absent as he is currently recovering from an injury.  Allrounder Basir Ahamad has been called up following impressive back-to-back performances with the Nepal A team. Joining him are left-arm pacer Rijan Dhakal, pacer Kamal Singh Airee, and young pacer Aakash Chand.  Spinner Surya Tamang has retained his spot, along with Sagar Dhakal, who was part of the T20 World Cup squad. Wicketkeeper-batter Arjun Saud and Sundeep Jora are also included in the team.  Nepal is scheduled to tour Canada in September for the second Tri-series, where they will compete against Oman and Canada. In the opening series held on home ground in February, Nepal faced three defeats and secured only one win against Netherlands and Namibia.
